ジョン・ポッター
1947年、イングランド生まれのテノール歌手。ケンブリッジのキングズ・カレッジ聖歌隊で声楽を学んだ。その後、スウィングル・シンガーズの後継グループのスウィングルII、フィリップ・ピケットの主宰する古楽グループ、ニュー・ロンドン・コンソート、現代曲専門の声楽アンサンブル、エレクトリック・フェニックスなどを経て、1980年代半ばからヒリアード・アンサンブルの常連となる。また、レッド・バードを主宰している。学者肌で、演奏活動の傍ら論文を書いたり、ヨーク大学で教鞭をとったりしている。
