マハン・エスファハニ
1984年、イラン・テヘラン生まれ、米・ワシントンDC育ちのチェンバロ奏者。チェコ・プラハ在住。スタンフォード大学で音楽学と歴史を学び、ボストンでピーター・ウォッチオーン、ミラノではロレンツォ・ギエルミ、プラハでズザナ・ルージチコヴァに師事。その後渡英し、2010年にウィグモア・ホールでソロ・デビュー。BBCラジオ3のニュー・ジェネレーション・アーティスト選出をはじめ、ボルレッティ＝ブイトーニ・トラスト賞など数多くの受賞を重ねるなど非凡な才能を発揮。世代を代表するチェロ奏者として高い評価を得ている。
