Hot 8 Brass Band

米ニューオーリンズ出身の8人組ブラス・バンド。ジャズ、ファンク、ヒップホップから影響を受けたハートフルなグルーヴを奏でるのが特徴。マーヴィン・ゲイ「セクシャル・ヒーリング」のカヴァーによってヨーロッパで脚光を浴び、2007年に1stアルバム『Rock With The Hot 8』を発表。ツアーやハリケーン〈カトリーナ〉プロジェクトへの貢献活動などを展開し、モス・デフやメアリーJ・ブライジ、ローリン・ヒルらのバックも務めて飛躍的に成長。2012年の2ndアルバム『ザ・ライフ&タイムス・オブ...』に続き、2013年5月、『トゥームストーン』をリリース。
