David Foster
1949年11月1日、ブリティッシュ・コロンビア州ビクトリア生まれ。鍵盤奏者、ソングライター、プロデューサー。13歳までピアノを学び、ビートルズを聴いてポップスの道に。ロニー・ホーキンスのバンドで活動後、スカイラークというバンドを結成。1972年デビューし、翌1973年「ワイルドフラワー」がヒット。解散後の1977年からはソロで鍵盤楽器のセッション・プレイヤーとして人気を維持しつつ、ソングライター&プロデューサーとしてAORサウンドの黄金期にヒット曲を量産した。
